Reviews and Ratings
I had a bit of a rocky start with the room not meeting my request for a view of the cathedral, and it was quite dark inside with minimal natural light. However, the situation improved drastically when the staff kindly moved me to a brighter room with a comfortable bed and a lovely view of the central garden. It could have been a disaster, but thanks to the room change, my trip was saved!
Staying at this hotel was a mixed experience. The room, though not overlooking the cathedral as requested, had a lovely inner garden for relaxation. The service was a bit hit or miss, with helpful staff but some issues with arrangements. The location was convenient, a short walk to town but quieter facing the courtyard. The dining options were decent, although timing could be tricky. Overall, the hotel had its charms but also some drawbacks.
The hotel was on the ground floor and will be quite dated, but the staff took great care of us and went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. The complimentary shuttle service to the CBD made the location even better, though the uphill walk back could be tiring. The dining experience could be a bit hectic at times, but the locally caught fish was very nice.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of good and not so good experiences. The room size was great, but being next to the lifts made for a noisy night. The bed was super comfortable though, and I slept longer than usual. The deluxe rating didn't really match the location, as it was further away from the lifts and overlooked a building site, missing out on any lake view. Having to buy my own real milk due to UHT milk was a downside, despite the abundance of teabags.
I had a great stay at the hotel! The room on the 3rd floor had a wonderful view of the surrounding snow-covered hills, but there was a downside of being opposite a construction site. The room itself was nice and clean, making it a comfortable stay overall.
The hotel had some positives like friendly service and good dining but fell short in aspects like noisy rooms and dark ambiance. The location was convenient for exploring Queenstown.
I stayed at this hotel for a relaxing getaway after a busy week. The rooms were cozy and super quiet, perfect for unwinding. While there were some maintenance issues like mold in the shower and chipped paint, the peace and quiet made up for it. The breakfast was abundant and set me up for the day, but a tad overpriced. The service was top-notch with staff going the extra mile, though a prior missed arrangement was a slight hiccup. The location was great, just a short walk from the town center, offering a nice escape from the noise. Overall, a comfortable stay with some minor improvements needed.
The hotel is conveniently located within easy walking distance of downtown Queenstown, offering clean and well-prepared rooms. While the service was welcoming and friendly, there were some issues with accessibility and friendliness during late hours. The location is very walkable to town activities and reasonably close to the airport, but lacks certain amenities and views. The dining experience was average with a lack of specific options, though it did offer beautiful views of the Remarkables. Overall, a comfortable stay with some room for improvement.
My stay at the hotel was pleasant overall. The rooms are getting old but still comfortable, especially since we had a suite. The service started off a bit rough but improved later on. The location is convenient, just a short walk from the town center. The dining experience was average with good options but lacking in some areas, and the facilities were sufficient for a comfortable stay.
The hotel room was well equipped with expected amenities, but showed some signs of age. The location was convenient with a steep hill to access, but near lovely bird chirping. The facilities were generally good, offering a pleasant stay overall.
